Mediation In Rotherham (MIR)

Mediation In Rotherham is our neighbour mediation service purchased on behalf of all Rotherham residents by Rotherham 2010.

This project is now in its third year.  The initial year was spent recruiting and training volunteers and setting up referral systems.

Since 2005 the service became cross tenure and we have been working closely with the Anti Social Behaviour team to monitor the project.  Any statutory agency or any resident of Rotherham can make a referral to the service.

Following restructuring at Rotherham 2010 a series of training events for housing staff is being planned for 2006. 

In 2005/6 MIR dealt with 55 cases and aims to handle 70 cases in 2006/7.
